Trump further added that India’s last election involved 646 million voters, with less than 1% voting by mail, and said that every voter was required to present a valid photo identity document to cast their vote.

What Is the SAVE America Act?
The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act is a proposed U.S. law that aims to tighten rules governing federal elections. It seeks to introduce photo identification for voting and documentary proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration.
Trump added that it would also establish measures regarding voter registration and federal voter rolls, including preventing non-citizens from casting ballots in elections. The White House has described it as a measure to ensure that only U.S. citizens have the right to elect their own government.
The proposed legislation has drawn criticism from Democratic lawmakers who argued that making documentary proof mandatory to be eligible to vote might cause additional troubles for U.S. citizens who are already eligible voters but lack proof of their citizenship.
