Supreme Court innaugurates Two New Courtrooms
Chief Justice Surya Kant inaugurates additional court and Registrar halls in the West Wing as the apex court expands infrastructure to ease case backlog

New court halls and Registrar Court halls have started their functioning at the Supreme Court with the setting up of new facilities on the first floor of the West Wing of the main campus, according to the reports, with Chief Justice of India Surya Kant in attendance and handed the keys to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

The new West Wing courtrooms are similar to the previous series of moves. Earlier in August, CJI inaugurated Special Exclusive Courts under the NIA Act, UAPA, NDPS Act and MCOCA at Rouse Avenue Court Complex in Delhi, calling it a "model that demonstrates the justice system's adaptability and commitment to adhering to the rule of law.
He opened the "Tower of Justice" in July in Gurugram, which has 55 courtrooms, against the backdrop of 45 courtrooms, occupying seven acres and adding video-conferencing facilities and plans to create an international arbitration centre.
